Nike workers in Vietnam earn $59 every month

Factory Workers demand wage increases of 20%, as well as improved nutrition in company canteens. The average monthly salary of a factory employee is $ 59.

The plant produces shoes since 2002. The biggest part of the workforce are young women from rural areas. Despite the fact that their wages by 14% more than the minimum salary in the country, inflation still "eats" this allowance.

In Vietnam there are 10 factories producing Nike shoes, annually producing about 75 million pairs of jogging shoes, passes Associated Press.
