The Olympic Torch Has Arrived to Alma-Ata


Yesterday, on April 1, the Olympic torch has arrived to Kazakhstan, to Alma-Ata comes on April 2 to continue the baton

The first phase will begin in Sport Medeo. The second phase will take place on several central streets of the capital of Kazakhstan. All culminate will be in the square "Astana".

The ceremony the start of the baton will be opened with the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

According to the media, the baton on the Kazakh territory will cost 2.5 million dollars.

After Alma-Ata, April 3, the torch will Istanbul. In St. Petersburg, it will arrive on April 5 and April 6 in London.


Today the baton is comin' from Alma-Ata to 22 starts - 130 cities of the world.
